Typical of the grime genre location tends to consist of Urban settings. These contribute to the project to create a sense of realism or continuity as it may relate to lyrical content.
My ideas
- Cafe
- City
- Domestic Scenes
- Petrol Station
- Car Park
- Road
- Fast Food Shop
- Convenience Store
I want us to use multiple urban locations in order to portray a story, we should manipulate each location and setting to forge a believable narrative, whether we chose to use a wide array or a minimum.
I also want us to go one step further and record an intro without the track, this can be useful in setting the scene and giving the audience an insight into understanding the story being told in more depth.
I feel this can be done in a location such as a cafe, fast food shop or domestic setting one in which dialogue may easily flow.

Dave - JKYL and HYD
Kano - This is England
Other settings
These days with grime artists gaining more of a worldwide following and investing more in production they have taken their videos out of their typical environment of the UK but have still stayed true to the urban settings. This is most notable with artists Stormzy - 'One Take Freestyle' and AJ Tracey & Dave - 'Thiago Silva'. For time and financial purposes filming abroad wouldn't perhaps be the most likely or straight forward options for us.
