This is a very simple and straightforward net design, that consists of a front, back, disc place, and a couple of inside panels. I am very attracted to this one as there are infinite possibilities we can implement, in terms of pictures on each individual net, or the use of lyrics etc. Also, we can experiment with different themes that will help to make the digipak stand out. The image below is a professional digipak that has used the template of the net above. I found that they were very successful as they were able to use a good mixture of colours swell as being able to stay to the genre of music.
Originally, this caught my eye due to the simplicity of the net. Also this was a different design to the usual digipaks you normally see, so in that sense it was visually appealing. Below is an example of a professional attempt to implement the design, after seeing this I was not as sure if this was the design I preferred compared to the others, as from the example of the professional digipak it seems I would not be able to include as many images compared to the digipak's containing 6 frames. I also think that I would not have enough space to include all the things i would want to on a digipak.
The simplistic flat plans have caught my attention the most, as I think less is more. I am interested by this one as it has more space to work with than the previous digipak, and therefore gives me more options in terms of what I could choose to put on the individual frames of the digipak. The nature of the extended boxes gives me the dilemma of deciding if it would be better to fill the space or just have text or images on them.
My Favourite.........
Overall, i felt like this was the design I wanted to explore further and could potentially be the digipak I come to use, as there was a lot of space to work with, therefore it would allow different peoples ideas and input rather than only my own. Although this is a standard flat plan (digipak), I feel like this would work as the standard template is widely used and therefore shows it will suit any genre of music we choose.
Other digipak ideas.....
