I believe costume is a tool we can be pretty flexible with during this task, there is no rule in terms of what an artist should wear in a video. What a costume can do however is give an insight into what the subjects/characters in a production are like i.e personality.
Typical grime attire consists of casual clothing however you tend to find bigger artists possessing their own individual trends that they express visually.
Krept is seen in this video sporting a Puma X Bape hoodie amongst several other people wearing the jacket collaboration.
Konan wears a black and white puma tracksuit.
Jaykae is pictured wearing a black tracksuit with a dad-cap.
Arguably the most iconic grime video to date, extras can be seen sporting nike trainers, tn's and air max 97's.
I feel as a group we can incorporate certain iconographic elements of the genre however i feel each character featured in the video can bring their own flavour to their visual representation, it will help them look in place without making them simply blend in. In addition i want us to not only film a video but create a realistic experience for the viewer in doing so i feel dressing in an appropriate costume is key, this means not over dressing or over accessorising.
