Planning: Location - (Pio George)

Location

List of ideas:

- Car Park

- A house

- A street

-  Park

Location 1: Car Park
There are local car parks that are near, which can be used by my group, also getting permission to film would not be difficult either. The filming should take place at night, which I feel will enhance our music video to give it a more grime like feel and, the car park should be empty which would allow our group to effectively film the music video without any hindrances.

Location 2: House
Our group can film these scenes at one of our group members house. The house can be used to show domestic scenes e.g. in the bedroom, the staircase, living room, kitchen or the garden. It would also be preferable to shoot the video at night if it is being filmed in the garden, but it would not matter if the scenes inside the home are filmed during the day.

Location 3: A street
We can film this scene at one of the streets near or at the group members homes as it would be easier getting permission from the neighbours. It would be preferable to film the music video at night and our group can use cars in the video. The car can be gained by one of the group members parents, as it would be easier to gain permission or it can be their own if they have one available.

Location 4: A Park
There are parks located near where our group members are living so we have an easy access to them. Our group can film the music video in many areas of the park such as in one of its playgrounds or in another area of the park. It would be preferable to record the music video a night as well.

I believe the music video should be mainly filmed in urban areas such as the car park, a street or someones home. As in most of the grime music videos I have scene, the locations which they have been filmed are in urban areas, so it would be more effective by filming in urban areas.

Planning: Moodboard - (Pio George)

This is a moodboard I have constructed to show examples of what props will be used, what costumes will be worn by each actor and the locations the music video will be filmed at.

Planning: Costume - (Pio George)

Costume

For our groups music video, we are able to have a variety of clothing. As in music videos there are no set required clothing to wear and no clothing that is not allowed.
The main focus of the music video is the genre of grime, and usually the colour of the clothing worn in most grime music videos is darker colours like black. Such as black hoodies, jackets and tops which are of well known brands e.g. Nike.
Also other clothing would be darker coloured trousers or jeans. The footwear would be any colour such as red, white, black, blue e.t.c and these would usually be well know brands as well such as Vans or Adidas.
During the filming of the music video, I believe each of the actors in the video should wear different clothing to express their differences in preference so that it brings out each characters individuality, rather than having each character looking the same.

Jackets and Hoodies

Jeans

Trainers- Nike, Vans, Adidas

Location ideas (Melissa)

Location idea 1: Police station

one of the many locations we chose as a group would be to film shots for our music video outside a police station. We got inspiration from other Grime artists as we thought filming outside a police station or even by a police car would create an effective music video. In addition to this, we are conforming to the sterotype of teens or London youths in the video because typically teens are usually known for getting into trouble.

Location idea 2: Car park

Another location we could use  in our music video a car park. depending on whether an empty car park or a busy car park looks more realistic in the video we are going to trial and error to see which type of car park suits the video best. There are many car parks near each of us in the group so we have a wide selection and different style car parks to choose from, whether it is a multy story car park or just one ground level car park.

Location idea 3: High Street

For our third location, we could film parts in a high street. Trial and error will take place here too as we can take shots both in night or day and see which shots suit anf fit in with the other scenes. I think filming at night and with a dark background  with bright lights from street lights will add a great effect but also have a sense of realism.
